Mikael Ndjoli

As a teenager, Mikael Ndjoli caught the eye of Bournemouth after netting 20 goals in 24 games in the Millwall youth ranks during the 2015/16 season. Having also represented Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, and Brentford as a youngster he signed for the Cherries in July 2016.

His first taste of senior football actually came in the Scottish Premiership while on loan to Kilmarnock during the 2018/19 season as the Ayrshire club finished 3rd the table. After spending the first half go the 2019/20 season with English League One side Gillingham, capable of playing either as a winger or a forward, Mikael arrived in Lanarkshire in early January on a loan deal until the end of the season replacing the outgoing Devante Cole who returned to his parent club Wigan Athletic.

Mikael made his Motherwell debut as a substitute in a 3-0 win over Dundee in a Scottish Cup against Dundee at Dens Park and he quickly followed this up by another late cameo appearance against Hibernian in a 0-0 league fixture. Essentially this would be the extent of his contribution with Motherwell as firstly injury would hamper his progress in the side and with the outbreak of Covid-19, the season would initially be suspended before being brought to an abrupt halt.
