Ian Reid

Full back, Ian Reid joined Motherwell from the Junior ranks in 1952 as he was signed from Kilsyth Rangers. Unfortunately for him his route to the first team was barred by Willie Kilmarnock and Archie Shaw who had seen off many a suitor who were vying for a full back spot. Ian would fill in on a handful of occasions covering for injuries but both of his appearances ended in defeat, first was a 1-3 loss at the hands of Queen of the South and the other was a 1-4 defeat at the hands of Rangers at Ibrox. He would later moved onto Cowdenbeath in 1954.
