Justin Amaluzor

Justin Amaluzor probably falls into the category of players who was signed as a manager punt rather than being a key ingredient of their plans. The 24 year old winger had played the majority of his career in the lower English leagues with much of his time spent in the National League South.

He arrived in Lanarkshire during the 2021/22 pre season after leaving Maidstone United and began training with the club for a short time before manager Graham Alexander offered him a one year contract on the 21st June 2021.

Capable of playing not only as a left or right winger, Amaluzor could also be deployed through the middle offering a degree of flexibility in this regard. He would make his Motherwell debut against Annan Athletic in a League Cup group stage match and promptly got on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win.

The majority of his appearances in claret and amber came as a substitute, Justin seemed to be deployed often when the side was chasing the game. Perhaps a few notable contributions were helping the side turn a looming Scottish Cup upset at the hands of Morton into a last gasp win, furthermore he was part of the side that went to Ibrox, despite being 2-0 down at half time to Rangers the side managed to come back and salvage a much deserved draw.

Amaluzor departed the club at the end of the 2021/22 season.
