Jim Beaton

Motherwell signed Jim Beaton in 1967 from Carluke Rovers, he would only stay at Fir Park for the one season as he found it hard it break into the side, Jim would make the majority of his appearances in March 1968 making his debut as an outside-right versus Kilmarnock in a 1-1 draw followed by two defeats at the hands of Aberdeen and Raith Rovers. In truth, the 1967/68 season was disastrous for the club as they would ultimately be relegated. After only being with the club 12 months, Jim was allowed to leave with a number of other fringe players, he would rejoin Carluke Rovers.
