Stevie Bryce

Stevie BryceStevie Bryce was a product of the Motherwell Youth System. Tommy McLean signed him up for the senior squad in June 1987. For six years he threatened to break into the first team but this did not happen. In 25 appearances in all competitions he only managed to score three goals, one came in the 1988/89 season as Motherwell were defeated 2-1 by Hibernian in the League Cup. His second came on 20th January 1990 as Motherwell defeated Clyde 7-0 in a Third Round Scottish Cup tie in which the ‘Well had seven different scorers that day. In all the league games he featured in, he would only get on the scoresheet once and this came in a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Rangers. This young red headed striker left to join Ayr United in 1993, he would make just over 30 league appearances for the Honest Men before trying his hand in Northern Ireland with Cliftonville.
