William Buchanan



William BuchananDebuted for the ‘Well in the first season after World War II. Despite joining the club in 1946 and leaving in 1949 he would only feature in one competitive game, this was a League Cup fixture on the 19th October 1946 as Motherwell defeated Falkirk 5-3, he was playing at full back. In 1949 he went down south and joined English club Carlisle United where he would stay briefly before moving onto Barrow.
