Billy Campbell

Billy CampbellA Northern Irish internationalist, Billy Campbell joined the club in July 1968 coming from Dundee. He was a terrific little winger, he was pacey and direct and could be a joy to watch on the top of his game, he was more noted for setting up goals for his team mates rather than scoring himself. In 110 appearances in all competitions for the club he scored 13 times. In 1974 after six years with the club he was allowed to leave for free. He returned to Northern Ireland, joining Linfield where he would take up a player/manager role. Billy would return to Motherwell a few years later but this time he would serve as assistant manager to Willie McLean.

He was also capped at Schoolboy, Youth, Amateur and Full Level.
