Jim Clark started his career with Stirling Albion but it was with his hometown club Kilmarnock that he is perhaps best remembered as he became a key member of the Rugby Park sides midfield in the late 70s. Motherwell signed Jim in the summer of 1985, he made his debut against Clydebank on the opening day of the season in a 0-0 draw. He was unable to replicate the fine form he had shown at Killie and would only make the six appearances for the club before he was moved onto Meadowbank Thistle.
