Kevin Christie came from Pittodrie via East Fife for a reported fee of £10,000, he had been on the cusp of Aberdeen’s first team in Alex McLeish’s latter years with the Dons before he moved to Fir Park. It was mentioned that Big Eck dipped into his own pocket to help fund the transfer. No-one could ever fault big Kevin for being anything but 100% committed to the team. His gangly style made him look clumsier than he actually was. He was another player whose confidence was shattered by the fans’ reaction and he never managed to hold down a regular place at Fir Park. He was allowed to go to Falkirk on a free transfer in February 1999, but he would suffer an injury early in his career at Brockville which would keep him on the sidelines for a lengthy period.
