Charlie JohnstoneCharlie Johnstone came straight from the junior ranks and went into the ‘Well reserve side in season 1933/34. Charlie made his debut, as a much depleted ‘Well side played host to Clyde at Fir Park. Playing in the outside-left position, his debut saw the side slip up as Clyde won 2-1. The next time he featured he netted as the side defeated Falkirk 3-1 at Brockville. His third and final appearance of the season saw him line up against the Doonhamers but yet again, the side slipped up as Queen of the South won 2-1.
