Jim Muir (II)

Goalkeeper Jim Muir arrived at Fir Park via Hurlford United in 1976. The youngster would provide backup to Stuart Rennie in his time with the club, he made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Dundee United as the 1976/77 campaign came to a close. Jim would only play another five games for the club, the highlight of course was keeping a clean sheet when the side beat Celtic 1-0 in August 1977 at Parkhead.

Muir departed Motherwell in 1978 but his next stop was just a short trip away as he joined Hamilton Academical. His time at Douglas Park was met with similar success as he only played a handful of games, before he went full circle and rejoined Junior side Hurlford.
