Tommy Sloan joined Motherwell from Hearts, along with Charlie Cox on Boxing Day 1951. Clearly the highlight of Tommy’s career was being part of the Scottish Cup winning side of 1952, although this would have been pushed closely by his ‘B’ championship medal in 1954. Tommy left Fir Park in 1957 after making 160 first team appearances and scoring 54 goals, he joined Gloucester City.
