Match Report
Facts
Kai Nyyssönen scores his first goal for the club in what would be his last appearance before departing.
The club’s new chairman John Boyle introduced a new scheme to try and entice more of the Lanarkshire public to support their local team. Starting with the Dunfermline Athletic fixture the previous weekend ‘Football for a Fiver’ was introduced with kids/concessions tickets priced at just £1 whereas adults are charged £5, the offer was available for the Dundee United fixture which saw an impressive 11,201 fans turn out especially with the game being played on a Sunday evening with a kick off time at 6:05pm and live on SKY TV. The offer proved to be quite popular over the two fixtures as the combined attendance was just over 21,000.
