Twenty-one year old Duncan Ogilvie signed for Motherwell in the 1932/33 campaign as the side fought valiantly throughout the season to retain the title. Featuring out in the right wing berth, Duncan made his debut against Partick Thistle on 29th October 1932 at Fir Park. His debut however saw defeat as the Jags were triumph by 2 goals to 1. Despite this himself and his team mates rallied round and hammered the likes of Dundee 6-1, Ayr United 6-2, Airdrie 4-1, St Mirren 5-2 and Third Lanark 6-3 all within the months of November and December. Duncan was always on hand to net only the Third Lanark match would see Ogilvie fail to hit the target. In March 1936 he was sold on to English side Huddersfield Town for a fee of £2,900.
