Forward, Donald Brims joined the club in 1956 from junior side Arniston Rangers, a forceful and clever player, he went on to play 20 games for the Steelmen either deployed up front or as a wing-half, he played in all the clubs early season League Cup games in 1956/57 making his first team bow against Dundee in a 1-0 defeat, Donald would have to wait patiently for his League debut, this came against Rangers on 9th March 1957 in a 5-2 reversal, despite keeping his place in the side for five league games in a row, the side would lose them all. The following season he would struggle to make any real progress before he was given a free transfer in 1958 and went onto join Bradford Park Avenue.
