Despite signing from Maryhill Harp at the beginning of the 1966/67 season it took over a year for Jim Gray to get a taste of first team action. Obviously in the end, it didn’t work out for him as he only made the one appearance for the club and this was in a 2-1 defeat to Greenock Morton, in the 1968/69 campaign. It wasn’t a good year as Motherwell soon slipped to relegation.
