Motherwell signed Bobby Hunter from Hamilton Accies in the summer of 1951. Bobby had netted 34 goals for the Accies in the 1950/51 season. In the space of six years Hunter was restricted to just two league appearances. Bobby also had spells with Swindon Town and just after he was freed by Motherwell he joined English non-league side Poole.
