Goalkeeper, Bill Murdoch would only play a handful of first team games for the club as he couldn’t dislodge Alan Wylie from the number one position. His two appearances came during the 1963/64 season, firstly in a 4-1 defeat against Dundee United and his last appearance came on the final day as the ‘Well fell to a heavy 5-1 defeat at the hands to Rangers. Bill would have a brief stay at Celtic before moving on to Highland League side Forres Mechanics.
