Thomas McDonald joined the club in 1909 just in time for the seasons opening fixture. He would only stay for one year and that being the 1909/10 season. Playing as First choice Goalkeeper he would make 33 first team appearances. The young keeper vying for the shirt alongside McDonald was indeed a talented prospect and he was named Colin Hampton, who indeed would go onto make the number one spot his own.
