Facts
VAR (Video Assistant Referee) is introduced into Scottish Football this weekend with Hibernian versus St Johnstone at Easter Road being the first game to use it the previous night. It didn’t take long for the new tech to be used in the Motherwell vs Aberdeen game as the linesman wrongly ruled out a Dons goal for being offside. After a lengthy wait VAR showed that the Aberdeen forward was onside and the goal was given. However back to back incidents including a potential foul on Ricki Lamie and a handball in the Aberdeen box went unchecked in the dying sections.
