Facts
Referee John Beaton had to refer to VAR on the 40th minute to review a late challenge by former ‘Well forward Tony Watt on Sean Goss. A red card is issued to Tony after the review as he caught the Motherwell midfielder high with a studs up challenge. United would appeal this decision and despite some angles showing it was a naughty challenge the Dundee club would be successful in the appeal.
