Junior Burns

Junior BurnsJames ‘Junior’ Burns joined the club in 1982 signing from Motherwell Boys Club. Unfortunately this young winger was at Fir Park at a bad time as the club were going through a transitional period. However in October 1983 he would score the winner at Ibrox as Motherwell defeated Rangers 2-1 a result which would ultimately cost Rangers manager John Greig his job. Junior had represented Scotland at U18 level. He played twelve¬†first team games scoring the one goal. He was released by the club in 1984.
