Andy Dornan was snapped up from Alex Ferguson’s Aberdeen in December 1982 and he joined the same time as team mate Andy Harrow. Andy was a powerful full back and he went on to play 92 league games for the club and scoring 4 times. He made his debut against Kilmarnock and the Steelmen ran out 2-0 winners and he had a brilliant match, thereafter he was a regular in the number 2 jersey and was the frequent subject of transfer speculation. Four seasons past at Fir Park and the club eventually let him leave, he joined English side Walsall, where he proved a very popular player. He did however return to Scotland in the 1990s with Montrose, but sadly they got relegated at the end of the 1991/92 season.
