Jamaican Internationalist Omar Daley signed a two year deal with the club in September 2011 after impressing on trial. He had played under manager Stuart McCall at Bradford City where he had played well over 100 games for the bantams. Omar brought a degree of versatility to the squad as he was comfortable playing out on both wings as well as playing up front as a striker. During his two year stay at Fir Park he was predominately used as a substitute, Due to the form of the likes of Jamie Murphy, Chris Humphrey and the later additions of Henrik Ojamaa and James McFadden, Daley would struggle to carve out a starting place in the first team. He certainly had fantastic traits as he possessed lightning pace and had many tricks in his locker but he just seemed to lack any consistency and at times looked a bit uninterested.

Omar’s best run of form for the club came towards the end of 2011 putting in some great performance against Aberdeen and St Johnstone getting on the scoresheet in the process. Despite never really being a regular started he did however get called up for the Jamaican national squad on a regular basis. Omar made his ‘Well debut in September 2011 coming on as a late substitute in a 3-0 defeat. He would be allowed to leave the club at the end of the 2012/13 season.
