American former Joe Efford arrived in North Lanarkshire in January 2022 signing from Belgian outfit Waasland-Beveren.
Upon leaving high school he passed up the opportunity of a college scholarship to forge a professional career in Europe. Joe would represent sides in Romania (Botoșani), Spain (Mallorca) and Greece (Ergotelis) before heading to Belgium.
Efford made his debut against Celtic but the side fell to a 0-4 defeat at Fir Park. Joe would net his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw against struggling Dundee.
