Eric’s football career started in the Junior leagues with Cambusland Rangers, from there he moved to England with Burnley before coming back north to join Kilmarnock. It was from there where Motherwell signed him early in the 1970s. After Motherwell he joined Hamilton then had a spell with Albion Rovers before going back to junior football with Cumnock. While at Motherwell Eric played in a Texaco Cup tie against Stoke City.|
