Winger, Ian Goodall started his playing career with junior side Kilsyth Rangers, and it was from there in 1948 he joined Motherwell. Although staying at Fir Park for two years he was only able to count 20 first team appearances in all competitions netting the 3 goals. He was released in 1950 and quickly joined Third Lanark.
