William Gallacher was signed in 1961 from Blantyre Victoria, and this full-back was something of an enigma. He played in 4 league games for the ‘Well and scored twice, a better ratio than many big name strikers. It should be said that he scored both goals in a 4-0 win over St Mirren in 1965, a full 4 year after joining the club. However, he left after his quartet of league outings.
