James Haxton only played for Motherwell’s senior side for a solitary season after signing from Lochgelly United in 1903, this was during the campaign of 1904/05. He proved to be one of the side’s top performers as he played in every game during the season, not to mention being the club’s top scorer. Sadly though Motherwell struggled during that season and finished bottom of the league.
