Midfielder, Tony Kane joined Motherwell in 1978 from Lanark United, he was at Fir Park for a couple of seasons but he was unable to nail down a regular starting berth and was essentially a squad player during his time with the club, his appearances were confined to the 1979/80 First Division season as the Steelmen finished 6th in the table.
