Alex Martin

Alex MartinAlex Martin signed from Hull City in August 1970 alongside Billy Brown, both youngsters were homesick down south and were looking for a move back nearer home. The pair were recommended to reserve Coach Willie McSeveney by his younger brother John, who was actually the Hull City Chief Scout.

Alex could either play in a central midfield position or out on the wings if required but despite offering plenty pace and trickery, he was unable to have any real run in the side and was released in 1975 having made just over 100 first team appearances for the club in all competitions.

He eventually moved onto Junior football turning out for Broxburn Athletic.
