Hugh Murray was signed at the start of the 1933/34 season. He came from junior side Cambuslang Rangers, this right half was immediately placed in the reserves. He made his debut playing on the right-half position against Falkirk at Brockville on 2nd January 1934 as the Steelmen ran out 3-1 victors. This was the only appearance he made for the club that season.
