Bobby Ramsay was signed from that useful training ground of North Motherwell Athletic, he didn’t have to wait too long before he seen some first team again as played in a Lanarkshire Cup tie. He found his way into the first team barred due to players like McCann and Aitken dominating the wing-half positions, he had very little opportunity to progress his game at Fir Park. He joined Lanarkshire rivals Airdrieonians in 1965 and over the next four years would play over a century of games for the Broomfield side. Later in his career he would serve Stranraer.
