Edinburgh native, Alex Walker was a inside right who represented Heart of Midlothian, Motherwell and Brentford during a footballing career which spanned only six years. At Fir Park he played in 17 league games scoring just the solitary goal. Alex was the younger brother of Heart of Midlothian striker, Bobby Walker who made more of an impact in his time at Tynecastle. He served as a private in the Royal Scots during the First World War and died on 12th May 1916 from tuberculosis aged only 34.
