John Young would only feature for the club for one season, where he would find himself more or less on the fringes all campaign. He certainly never really made any impact as he made only 10 appearances and scored 1 goal. His solitary goal came on 21st February 1914 as the side beat Broxburn 2-0. Soon thereafter he moved onto pastures new.
