
Scott arrived at Fir Park in 1998 when he joined on loan from Hull City, he would serve as back up to Stevie Woods and would only feature in one game for the club, this was against Aberdeen on the last day of the 1997/98 season as Motherwell lost 1-2. Before ending his career he would serve Airdrieonians, Dunfermline Athletic and Brechin City before starting his coaching career. His son Robbie would follow in his footsteps carving out a career as a shotstopper, he was on the books at Celtic and also represented Rochdale, Hamilton and Falkirk to name a few.
